Hi Admins,
Some time ago I posted a question about use and configuration of the mcutil
utility.
Despite many interesting replies, hours of experimentation and much
frustration,
no solution has yet been found, hence no summary.
Whenever I try to use any command with this tool I get:
cap005 > mcutil -M tz877 -m s:0 s:1
mcutil: unknown error
The entries in the mcicap file are (currently) as follows:
mc0|TZ877|TAPE1:\
:ae:ms:rd:ex:
:mc=/dev/changer/mc0:\
:dn=/dev/ntape/tape1:\
:tc=tz877:
# Digital TZ8x7/TZ8x5 DLT Magazine Tape Subsystem
tz857|tz867|tz877|tz875|tz8x7|tz8x5|Digital TZ8x7/TZ8x5:\
:it=scsi2:dt=tape:ae:re:
Clutching at straws now, I want to ensure that the SCSI CAM Media Changer
Driver
is built into the running kernel but am unsure how. Any help would be
appreciated.
Kind regards
