I have zip21 and unzip5.2, but they only zip/unzip a single file, and the
latest unzip I found on the sunsite still listed spanning as a todo.
The problem is I have a file which is spanned across 2 diskettes,
the windows versions of zip can put these together and unzip them,
is there any way to get zip/unzip to unzip a spanned a spanned file?
I don't think you can just concatenate the two spanned files, then
unzip that (I haven't tried).
Zipping back to spanned files isn't as important, as I can always split
the original data up into two zipped files on separate disks.
I was looking at the CPAN's zlib module for a PERL script to help out,
but in order to get the deflate() to work, how would I combine the two
files? (I didn't see anywhere on the CPAN's docs that it would handle
a spanned file(s) )
Thanks
