I am trying to figure out how to set up quotas for mail files. I have
checked the archives and didn't find much. One suggestion was to hack the
kernel but then a later email said that only worked for v4.0b and no newer
versions. Another email said to hack the file mail.local in sendmail but
that was for sendmail v8.8.2 and I'm not sure it will work for v8.11.
I have set quotas on a test account but if I send an email that puts the
account over quota the mail sits in the mailq with an error, but doesn't
return any error to the sender. The error in the queue doesn't say anything
about quota so the average user would have no idea what it meant if it did.
So, how can I set quotas on user email files? Any help would be appreciated.
