SUMMARY UPDATE:

Using an old jumper on the BA356-RD is now inconclusive. The jumper is(I
believe) an international connector with just pins to a PC board, no
components, and says "16 bit jumper". Alan Nabeth pointed out that the
intended destination for the old jumper is 8bit SCSI and you may end up
passing only 8 bits, so there's a possibility of dropping data.

My previous confirmation of working was premature as it was based on
RA200RCU recognizing the drives. I didn't init any groups yet. I'll wait
for the correct part.

Subject: SUMMARY: jumper on BA356 shelf
Original request below. The jumper from the fast-wide storage shelf did
work on the ultra-wide shelf. I received one reply from Carl Yeaman:

Blake, typically, DEC's/Compaq's configuration, for the model# is - the last
byte, after the last-dash, indicates the city / manufacturing-plant where
the device was made. I, certainly will not say that it'll work, but I
probably would try it. However, I do not even know what the ...356... is -
without looking it up. Good luck. [Carl] <<<

Original post:
Can you use a BA-35X-MC jumper from a BA356-RA in a BA356-RD? I'm waiting
for delivery on the correct jumper BA-35X-MF. I'm gonna try it anyway,
...but do you happen to know if the 16 bit jumpers are the same?
