Firstly, It appears that lmf is essnetially the same as license on
VMS, but the behaviour is slightly different.
No, AFAIK active means enabled (as is for my Alphas) ...

Try
# lmf unload 0 old-auth
disable just prevents loading the license into the kernel cache when you
load or reset but it doesn't remove the license data already in the
license database.

Hi Tom. If memory serves, you'll need to 'lmf load ...' for the new
license to be enabled, and then 'lmf delete ...' the old one (to remove
it). The exact syntax you should look-up (I haven't done this in a while)
either from the lmf man page or, using lmf interactively, using help.

SUMMARY: Apparently active implies enabled, which is differnet than on VMS.
The suggestion to do a 'delete' is probably not a good one since it would
take it out of the database. I believe disable is the way to go.
