SUMMARY: DEGPA's hardcoding to 1000Mb/Full Duplex

Thanks to Joe Fletcher and Keith Strange for their responses. Joe Fletchers
response is the one that did the trick.

"Think you've got it slightly inverted. Should read "lan_config -ialt0 -a0"
to disable autonegotiation. There are no console settings for the DEGPA
cards. You can include the lan_config line in /etc/inet.local."

Right now I am auto-negotiating at 1000 Full. I will this out when I am
able to take the cards down.

Thanks again,

Chris

Admins,

        I have a gs140 running 5.1 pk 3. On this box I have 2 DEGPA gigabit
interfaces. The 2 cards will auto-negotiate to 1000Mb/full-duplex but
management wants me to set these to non-auto, 1000Mb/full-duplex. I used
lan_config -i alt0 -a 1 -x 0 to accomplish this, however, I was not able to
connect via this link. I think that there may have been a duplex problem
with the port being set to half-duplex but just to verify on our end I have
2 questions.

        1. Is the above command what you execute to disable
auto-negotiation and set to full duplex?

        2. How can I hard code these cards at the P00>>> prompt?

TIA,
