Problems with client browsing with ASU

Hello everyone,

I am currently experiencing a problem on our 2 member ES40 cluster running Tru64 5.1 (patch kit 4) and ASU v5.1a(eco2) as a single instance app and as a NT member server.

Essentially the problem is that no users, excluding Domain Administrators, can browse to the shares hosted on the ASU box (as in typing in \\ASUserver in their start -> run menu). All non domain admins receive the message "access Denied" when trying to do so. Ordinary users can however type in the
full UNC path to a share on the ASU server and get access. We have workshopped this problem with our NT administrators and have come to the conclusion that this is definitely not a Win NT client problem. We have reviewed our NTFS ACL permissions and user rights on the ASU server and all are set to
the default Compaq installed ones. We even enabled guest access - to no avail. Also, the is no evidenc of an access violation os the ASU server's Eventlog.

If anyone can shed some light on this problem I would be most grateful.

Cheers,

Adrian
