SUMMARY: DHCP client issues

nothing good -- people seem to indicate that the JOIN software
doesn't work very well and it might be easier to get the ISC
dhcpcd software and make it work. One person indicated that he
had luck with a newer version of the JOIN software downloaded
from them, but that company has since gone under and that isn't
really an option. Somebody from compaq indicated that the scripts
may be badly written with regard to their checking of the 'allones'
network existing -- I haven't had a chance to check this out, other
projects took priority. I'd have summarized, but I have a feeling I
know why nobody else ever did.
