UPDATE: AlphaServer 2100A not seeing both CPUs

Many thanks for the quick responses...

I've had a couple of people remind me about "show config" at the SRM prompt,
as well as "psrinfo -v" from the OS, and a few "have you loaded the SMP
licenses".

The most telling is "show config".
I see the following:
Component Status Module ID
CPU0 F B2041-AA DECchip (tm) 21164A-2
CPU1 F B2041-AA DECchip (tm) ?????-?

That led me to think that the CPU board in slot 1 was bad, so I moved from
slot 0 to slot 2 and slot 1 to slot 0 and saw this:
Component Status Module ID
CPU0 F B2041-AA DECchip (tm) 21164A-2
CPU2 F B2041-AA DECchip (tm) ?????-?

So the same CPU that showed up as ?????-? while in slot 1 showed up fine in
slot 0 and the one that was fine went to ?????-? when it left slot 0.

And yes, I've got multiple OSF-BASE paks installed, so SMP is enabled at the
OS. But it looks like the OS isn't getting a chance to see the second CPU.

Would there be any merit of doing a firmware update (even though the version
isn't different)? or should I just give Compaq a call? I've run out of
ideas of things to try before calling for help.

Thanks,
