[Q] Strange NIS behaviour in 5.1A.

When adding NIS accounts with useradd or modifying accounts with usermod
under 5.1A I get this strange phenomenon: `ypcat -k' shows the new or
modified
entry but `ypmatch name' doesn't find a match if it's new or shows the old
entry
if it's a modification.

Starting and stopping the nis daemons is the only way I've found of fixing it.
Running make in /var/yp doesn't work, even after touching the files in
/var/yp/src
to force another update.

Anyone got any clues?

(It's not a serious problem but I'm writing instructions for assistant admins.
It will be a lot simpler and clearer if I don't have to include starting and
stopping the daemons twice - once after useradd and again after usermod).

Thanks
