There seems to be a consensus that these files can not be deleted -
even if you tried - and that they are a part of advfs and although
the might be reported as 1mb they are spare file (a new would be
add to my dictionary), they are actually tiny:
ls -ls quota*
32 -rw-r----- 1 root operator 647168 Dec 18 13:28 quota.group
80 -rw-r----- 1 root operator 1163264 Dec 18 13:28 quota.user

real size (1024 blocks) unreal size

Hi Managers,
Tru64 5.1, Advfs on all mount disks,
I have these quota files (quota.user & quota.group) on each fileset. I
haven't enabled disk quotas or set any soft/hard limits as yet. They
do not seem to have been modified since last year but they are a bit
on the big side (1mb in some cases). Is it safe to remove these files?
Thanx.
Dp.
