Managers,
I would appreciate any thoughts on the following problem we have.
We have two systems one with Tru64 Unix V4.0F PK4 (sysA) and one with same
OS, PK7 (sysB). We have other systems with identical configurations. All
systems have 2 NIC cards, and two IP addresses.
sysB was installed just a day ago. The problem we have is:
>From sysB we are unable to ping sysA.nic0
>From sysB we are able to ping sysA.nic1
>From the rest of our systems in the lab, we are able to ping sysA (both NIC
cards). From ALL our systems in the lab we are able to ping sysB (both NIC
cards).
sysA is running a cluster service for which we need to install the client
on sysB (this is the TNS server and clerk, if you are familiar with the
COMPAQ TeMIP environment). Because sysB is unable to get to sysA, I am
unable to install the client on sysB.
A system identical to sysB has not such problems.
Any suggestions? I'll summarize.
Thank you,
