I have a runaway process.
I am trying to startup up a process, during the process startup the
following message's are generated on
the console
42701:/gis/sdeexe/bin/giomgr: /sbin/loader: Fatal Error: Cannot map library
libclntsh.so.8.0
42703:/gis/sdeexe/bin/giomgr: /sbin/loader: Fatal Error: Cannot map library
libclntsh.so.8.0
42705:/gis/sdeexe/bin/giomgr: /sbin/loader: Fatal Error: Cannot map library
libclntsh.so.8.0
42707:/gis/sdeexe/bin/giomgr: /sbin/loader: Fatal Error: Cannot map library
libclntsh.so.8.0
42709:/gis/sdeexe/bin/giomgr: /sbin/loader: Fatal Error: Cannot map library
libclntsh.so.8.0
42711:/gis/sdeexe/bin/giomgr: /sbin/loader: Fatal Error: Cannot map library
libclntsh.so.8.0
42713:/gis/sdeexe/bin/giomgr: /sbin/loader: Fatal Error: Cannot map library
libclntsh.so.8.0
As you can see the process id is incrementing by two, the only way I know
how to stop this is
to "reboot", but I don't really want to do that.
The strange thing is that libclntsh.8.0 is part of my LD_LIBRARY_PATH.
There is nothing in ps or top that indicates what is spawning this process.
The only thing that is different on this machine is I upgraded the firmware
on my FCHBA.
Which prompts another question, should I rebuild the kernel if I upgrade
firmware on the FCHBA
Thank you, and I will summarize and post.
