/etc/routes question...

Hello,

Since the DS10 in my office had a second unused ethernet port I decide
to put the pc in my office behind it, on its own subnet, and take it
off of the network. Had problems getting the OSF box to recognize
the new network until I added the following line to /etc/routes
 - -net 192.168.1 -interface 192.168.1.4

I cribbed this from an old summary, I understand it except for the
leading dash. I was wondering what it does since the man page
dosen't enlighten me...

Internet - OSF box - my pc

Thanks,
Mattias
