lpd and RFC1179

Hi Admins,

 

Can anyone tell me if the Tru64 (V5.1 PK3) lpd daemon is RFC1179 compliant?

 

I am trying to send print jobs to an NT/W2K product called LaserServe from
Gandlake.

The print job leaves the spooler OK and arrives at the remote host but the
remote software (Laserserve) is complaining about the format of the lpd
message. Gandlake suggest that this is because Tru64 UNIX lpd is not RFC1179
compliant.

 

Any ideas on this one?
