Consensus is: try to find an external SCSI CD-ROM drive.
Dr. Blinn pointed out that it's not worth the trouble to upgrade
since the 3000/300 is very slow (but still faster than
my DEC 5000/25 :-).
Moreover, V5.1 does not officially support the 3000 series, so
there is a chance it won't work at all.
Seems I'd better stay in 4.0F.
