For the first time I can suggest something to the list instead of asking
for help!

The new KDE 3.0 has been released

        http://www.kde.org/announcements/announce-3.0.html

It is a marvellous (master)piece of software which replaces DCE (and any
window managers: twm, mwm...).

Compiling it from sources has to be a huge job, but Dr. Tom Leitner has
made the work for all of us (Thanks!!!!) and we can get the binaries
from his site:

        ftp://ftp.radar.tu-graz.ac.at/pub/kde2/tru64/latest_version

I tested the binaries on a TruCluster 5.1A and on several Personal
Workstations 500Au running Tru64 5.0A and they all behave well (apart
some strange warning messages I don't understand).

Thanks again to Dr.Tom Leitner,

Ciao to everybody,

Emanuele
