Question about mailx

I am trying to use the mailx utility to send out savegroup completion
reports from NetWorker Power Edition 6.1.2 on an AlphaServer DS20 running
Tru64 Unix 4.0g, however, there's one little annoyance which I am trying
to rectify.

If I start up the NetWorker daemons manually by first logging in via my
regular account on the server, gaining root access via sudo, then issuing
the "NSRstartstop start" command, all the notifications come out with my
userid on our server as the originating address.

What I want to do is have the savegroup notifications identify the "root"
address for the system as the "from" address. This can be done via the -r
option on mailx, but when I use -r, the -s option is ignored and thus, the
subject of the message never makes it into the header. It looks as if the
-r and -s parameters are mutually exclusive.

Can this problem be fixed? If so, how?
