LSM and Encapsulation

Tru64 5.1a

I labeled dsk2 (all partitions unused) and added it to LSM via initialization.

I decided to remove it, create the domain and fileset, and add it in via
encapsulation.

I removed dsk2 from LSM and relabeled, created the domain, fileset, and
mounted the device.

When I go to add the disk to LSM using encapsulation, I receive the
following error:

------------------------
Continue with encapsulation? [y,n,q,?] (default: y)

The disk device dsk2 will be encapsulated and added to the disk group
   rootdg.

The encapsulation operation failed with the following error:

Setting up encapsulation for dsk2.
dsk2 is already in use by LSM:
--------------------------

The device does not have an associated LSM disk media name nor group and it
does not have LSM partitions.

I obviously did not back out of the original LSM configuration
properly. What steps do I need to perform to remove dsk2 from the LSM
database so that I might [properly] encapsulate it for LSM use?

Tia.
