tcpdump

Hi Admins,

I'm accessing my server by doing telnet and i want to monitor traffic
from my machine from which i telnet to server

How can i use tcpdump utility to monitor n/w traffic?
What setting i have to do to accomplish this??
can it shows traffic for a telnetd sessions??
