Help upgrading CPU in a PC164 motherboard.

Howdy howdy.

I have a PC164 with a 366Mhz 21164, and I recently Ebayed a 500Mhz
processor. I changed the jumper settings on IRQ0-IRQ4 (all clear) as
specified in the manual, and it still comes up as ALpha 366 MHZ on boot.

I suspect that this might be a stored string, not a computed definition,
but I do not know how to test it. the boot time is identical regardless of
the jumper setting, so I am really confused.

Please assist if you can,
