My alt0 is now alt2.

Managers,

    I have a three member TruCluster (two AS-4100's and a GS-80), running
Tru-64 V5.1, pk5.

A while back I had a GB Ethernet adapter that was causing one of my
AS-4100s (member3) to crash. Since the subnet the adapter was connected to
wasn't currently being accessed by that machine, I pulled the card to get
the machine back up and running. It was alt0, other adapters were tu0, alt1,
and mc0.

Later we got a replacement adapter, and when we got the chance, we
installed it. It was put back in the same slot as the previous card, but it
came up as alt2? All my configuration files refer to alt0, not alt2. Is
there a way I can change alt2 back to alt0? Or am I stuck with alt2 and
should go about changing all my configuration and route files?

UNIX is very user friendly, It's just very particular about who it makes
friends with.
