Collecting Network Statistics

Fellow Sysadmins,

We've been trying to chase down a couple of network/nfs problems in the last few weeks. The only tools/commands that we know of are "netstat", "tcpdump" and "nfsstat" as well as monitor & collect. We also got our Telecom guys involved because they have sniffers that can provide better breakdown of the network traffic through a particular NIC. We are trying to figure out the best way to tell what's coming through a NIC on a particular system and break it down by type of activity.

We thought about posting a question out to the list to see if anyone else knows of any better tools, scripts, etc on Tru64 V5.x that we are unaware of. As always, any and all help will be greatly appreciated!

Tks & Rgds,
