Hi Todd,

        this should not be a problem as ORACLE will detect the instance
being
        active (on the other node).
        When ORACLE starts it creates a lock file for the instance and
in
        a TruCluster environment this file is cluster wide (ie. common
        ORACLE_HOME). If you try to start up the second instance it
        will fail with an error message. All which would happen is that
        the ORACLE processes are started but not DB files are opened .
        I haven't tried it in a while but that's how it should work :).
