Manipulating Tape on a jukebox

Hello Tru64 Gurus,

Does anybody know how or with what utility I can manipulate Tapes on a 7
Slot Jukebox(Meaning load and unload tape) without using NSR or other
third party software applications? Here is what I need to do:

    * Need to replace the NSR software(why? Too expensive and slow).
    * Currently I'm thinking of using vdump and mt but I got stock on
      loading tapes from a mini-Library System(jukebox w/7Slots).
       Actually is a TZ887 Jukebox.

Does anybody have any ideas what I can use to load and unload tapes from
this jukebox.


FYI:
Using an old version of Tru64(v4.0G).
