Dear Managers,
I have a freshly installed 5.1A system where I cannot install a
few software kits. E.g., I fetched the V5 version of Ladebug 468,
and when attempting to install that setld reports
Error: Ladebug Debugger Version 468 can only be installed on Compaq
Tru64 UNIX v5.0 or higher.
setld: Installation declined by subset control program (PRE_L).
"Ladebug Debugger Version 468" (LDBBASE468) will not be loaded.
My /etc/motd starts with
Compaq Tru64 UNIX V5.1A (Rev. 1885); Thu Jan 9 17:50:10 CET 2003
which is identical to the output from sizer -v
I have similar problems with at least 2 other kits. I think every-
body would consider v5.1A higher than v5.0. What have I (or the OS
installation process) done wrong? Can I cheat setld somehow?
Thanks in advance,
Bjorn
