I got many responses for suggestions.....which mostly
said i have to dig for the problem...
Compaq support suggested I press halt button when it
locks up again, and run crash. Upon bringing system
up, run sys_check -escalate
Well, i did all that. During sys_check, system locked
up again with /usr/sbin/sys_check[539]: 23652 Bus
error(coredump)
Upon trying to boot, I see there is an advfs domain
panic.......on usr_dmn!
I have to admit, am not good with tru64
troubleshooting....
Tried running verify (Came up with cant get set info
for domain 'usr_dmn') ...lots in references in
archives, no clear SUMMARY...i will write one!
I have an old 'usr_domain' still in the system, but
since i cant access vi (/bin/vi not available!!, seems
only /usr/bin/vi), am unable to change fstab to point
to the other usr_domain....
Ideas? (While am waiting for a call back from Compaq
Support!)
