I'm running Tru64 5.1A on three System TruCluster. We use NIS and have a
large number of Linux boxes being served.
Yesterday a few new users were added to the system, and last night due
to a totally unrelated problem, we had to reboot the cluster.
When the cluster came back up we had NIS problems. Attempting to run
ypcat gave us an error about the file being too long. After deleting a few
users and doing a ypmake everything was fine again, we are sitting at abour
425 users.
Anybody ever run into this? Is there a limit on the number of NIS users
can be in the password file?
