We wish to turn a V5.1 system into a 2 node cluster. The existing system is
in production use and we wish to minimize downtime associated with the
migration.
We have obtained a second server, memory channel components for both nodes,
and an external shareable I/O subsystem.
Our plan is:
- build a single-node cluster using the newly purchased server, memory
channel components and I/O subsystem.
- migrate the production application onto the single-node cluster.
- add the second node into the cluster.
Does anyone see any problems with this approach?
