Has anyone seen this? We're trying to sysgen an Alpha DS25 with
NHD5 and Tru64 5.1a. Need to know if the error can be ignored or if I will
be missing some hardware support by not correcting it.
thanks
During the "Rebuilding the /GENERIC file" configuration installation, I
received the following error:
Rebuild GENERIC Error
Unable to create the new GENERIC sysconfigtab file
(/usr/sys/HW_INSTALL/sysconfigtab):
After clicking on OK, I received the following message:
The installation process was unable to rebuild the /GENERIC file. Hardware
added will not be accessible during subsequent hardware installations. To
fix the problem, the kernel modules that were installed as part of the new
hardware installation should be placed in the /GENERIC file under the
Module_List directive.
After clicking on OK, the system rebooted and went to the login prompt.
