Too many system corrected errors on cpuxxx

Hi

         I am getting this frightening error on my console

Warning: Too many system corrected errors detected on cpu0 : reporting
suspended
Warning: Too many system corrected errors detected on cpu1 : reporting
suspended
Warning: Too many system corrected errors detected on cpu2 : reporting
suspended

        Digital Alpha Server 4100
        Digital Unix 4.0D
        3 processors

Any ideas on what this means and what I need to do.
