tachometer

Hi!

Has anyone used ‘tachometer’ successfully to download the Freeware-kits from
hp’s website instead of the CD-disc with V5.1B?
When I change the RPMS_LOC definition from ‘cdrom’ to ‘http’ I can list the
available packages ok but when I try to install a package it just hangs on
the downloading part (file in /var/tachometer/packages never grows beyond 0
bytes in size and no new output is available. Nothing seem to happen until I
ctrl-C out of it.

There should be no proxy/firewall problems. It works ok to install from CD
but it would be slimmer to do this by http..
