Managers, Thanks to many including Jim Lola, Alan Yokhanis, and Dr.
Thomas Blinn.
The answer. I was instructing a new user on how to do a restore and he
slipped by me and didn't boot the genvmunix when doing a compile of the
new kernel. This caused the hardware not to initialize properly thus
preventing the proper build of the new kernel. Once booted from the
generic kernel the build was success and the video began working
properly.
Thanks

Subject: Graphics console will not initialize
Managers, DS10 4.0f
I am having trouble getting graphics card configured properly on a DS10.
Nothing, that I know of, has changed. While booting the system log says:
vmunix: no graphics console driver configured
vmunix: generic console support installed using VGA
And X will not initialize. Please help. Thanks
