TruCluster and exprcted behavior

Hi, managers.

Tru54Unix 5.1A PK6
two ES40 in a cluster (with cross-over ethernet connection,
no memory channel)

If I power off one member, the other freezes. If I halt one member,
the other member reacts correctly. If I halt and power off one member,
the other reacts correctly. And, if I disconnect one member from both
internal (cross-over), external LAN and SCSI, the other member freezes.

Is this expected, or is it an error? My personal opinion is that the
remaining member should never freeze.

And if it is an error, can any of you suggest a plausible reason?

yours,
Lars Bro
