System Refusing to Give Back Deleted File Space - Another

I have a system running 5.1A with the exact same issues as Ron's.

A disk filled up over night lastnight, and the deletion of quite a few files
(which I have confirmed are not open by anymore) has not freed up disk space.

About to log a job with HP Critical support, thought I would try here first.
