Summary: (my version of, Rob's may be different) System Refusing to Give Back Deleted File Space

Hi All,

Thanks for your advice and ideas. One of my workmates here just worked out what
the problem was:

We use clone filesets to run our backups, we also don't delete them each night,
we just let the next night's backup replace the clone and it all starts again.

At the request of our client, the backups has been stopped for 10 days, and thus
the clone fileset has been allowed to grow unchecked.

The big giveaway for this was when doing a du -k the Total space, minus the
Used space dosn't equal avaliable space. We then ran showfsets and there were
the cones, stareing us in the face! Once the clones were deleted (rmfset) the
space returned and all the issues went away.

Hope this helps you as well Ron.
