Hi managers
This morning I ran Sophos Sweep for Tru64 for the first time. It swept. I
had no viruses, which was reassuring. However, I appear to have been left
with an odd effect on the date/time stamp of files.
As myself:
# ls -lt
total 14
-rw------- 1 gath01d users 3055 Apr 15 09:28 aaconvert.pl
-rw------- 1 gath01d users 8407 Apr 15 09:28 any-screener.pl
-rw------- 1 gath01d users 493 Apr 15 09:28 out
-rw------- 1 gath01d users 493 Apr 15 09:28 testprot1.fa
lrwxrwxrwx 1 gath01d users 10 Jan 13 16:14 swiss_at_ -> /yd1/swiss
All files have redated to the time I ran the anti-virus scan, soft links
however retain their original date (links aren't scanned).
but then.....
su
# ls -lt
total 14
lrwxrwxrwx 1 gath01d users 10 Jan 13 16:14 swiss_at_ -> /yd1/swiss
-rw------- 1 gath01d users 493 Dec 23 2003 out
-rw------- 1 gath01d users 493 Dec 22 2003 testprot1.fa
-rw------- 1 gath01d users 3055 Nov 22 2003 aaconvert.pl
-rw------- 1 gath01d users 8407 Nov 20 2003 any-screener.pl
as root the correct dates are restored. Why have they been reset for
ordinary users? and how can I restore them so that ordinary users see the
correct dates like root?
Thanks as always for any help
Cheers
Derek
