Hello all,
I have downloaded and tried to run CHKROOTKIT. Has anyone been
successful compiling it on a tru64 5.1A system? I searched the archives
but only found requests from others who had problems getting it to run
on TRU64 5.1A - without any solutions.
When I extract it and run the
make sense
I get the following error:
#make sense
gcc -DHAVE_LASTLOG_H -o chklastlog chklastlog.c
gcc: No such file or directory
*** Exit 1
So even though the compile was not successful I tried to run it anyway.
I got output with most of the file 'not infected' except
Checking 'mail'...INFECTED and
Searching for ODSD rk v1.../usr/lib/security
#ls -al /usr/lib/security
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root system 27 Jul 5 15:21 /usr/lib/security
-> ../op
t/java118/lib/security
Actually this link should go to ../opt/java131/lib/security because I
have a newer version of the java. The java118 directory no longer
exists which is why I not sure if this is a valid result.
Is there any suggestions on what I should do about these results?
The balance is nothing found except for the following. Which I assume
is because it did not compile correctly.
Checking `sniffer'... not tested: can't exec ./ifpromisc
Checking `w55808'... not infected
Checking `wted'... not tested: can't exec ./chkwtmp
Checking `scalper'... not infected
Checking `slapper'... not infected
Checking `z2'... not tested: can't exec ./chklastlog
Is there some some other way of compiling this program to make the
entire program execute?
Thanks
