Hi Unix-Managers
I added an ATI RADEON 7500 Graphics Controller to a DS25 running Tru64 Unix
V5.1B. I installed the drivers from the CD that came with the card. The
installation worked fine, but the final setld said:
---- <start snip> ----
Configuring "ATI RADEON V1.2 for V5.1B Config" (RADCONFIG542)
RADCONFIG542: Non-RADEON device "VGA" detected,
the configuration was not performed at this time.
If you install a RADEON graphics board later, you
should configure this node using the command:
setld -c RADCONFIG542 alpha22
---- <end snip> ----
I ran the command "setld -c RADCONFIG542 alpha22" again, same result.
Unix boots OK but detects a "640x480 VGA 16 colour, vga0 generic VGA"
CDE works, but is grey and low resolution.
I don't think it's relevant, but I had a borrowed Radeon 5xxx in the server
while waiting for the Radeon 7500.
Apologies if I'm doing something silly, I'm an Alpha newbie
Thanks in advance
