In short, "/sbin/dn_setup -install_tape" was the
trick.

I assume that by the "others" you mean systems.
The step to see the tape drives would not be required
to see disks. They get assigned dsk#s when
discovered. The tape devices will require the
dn_setup to be configured.

When creating/adding SCSI devices we recommend you
manually run "hwmgr
-scan scsi"...
However, a new device could, theoretically, wind up
getting the same
device WWID (generated) as a previous device and thus
not be considered
"new" by the OS.
