Sun TurboGX

2D accelerated 8bit colour frame buffer. These are compatible with the GX (cgsix) but are faster and support more resolutions.

Supported Resolutions

1024x768 at 60Hz, 70Hz or 77Hz
1152x900 at 66Hz or 76Hz

By default the card tries to detect your Sun monitor and use whatever resolution and refresh rate is appropriate. For a non-sun monitor this isn't likely to work and you'll end up with some default - probably 1152x900x76

To set the resolution manually in the console, use the setenv OpenBoot command: setenv output-device screen:r1152x900x76 should force the resolution to 1152x900 and the refresh rate to 76Hz
