VXT2000: VXT lockup

The Question is:

We have 2 VXT2000+ terminals that are running on thin wire double
shielded ethernet, and many vt terminals all running on an alpha. The
vxt terminals have 16 mg ram. The terminals lock up and we have to
reboot them around 15-20 times a day. We ahev tr ied many terminal
settings, new network cable paths, double shielded cable, but nothing
seems to work. We ahve not narrowed the problem down to network,
terminal or software. The person that wrote the software said that
there are people running the soft ware on xwindow terminals without
problems so I am leaning towards a network problem. any suggestions
or have you heard of VXT terminal problems?

The Answer is:

The problem, as described, is vague, although there was a "memory leak" problem
fixed in one of the VXT V2.1 releases.

The customer should contact the Customer Support Center and describe their
problem. If their problem has been fixed by one of the "letter" versions of VXT
Software, they can be sent the kit.

The latest version of VXT Software is V2.1G, and the latest shipped on ConDist
CDs is V2.1.
