When you issue the $ SHOW TERMINAL command, the
characteristic "VMS Style Input" appears last in the
display. What is it for? Can it be changed? Why is
it there? Just curious.
The Answer is:
VMS Style Input comes to you courtesy of the POSIX support in
TTDRIVER. VMS Style Input indicates that we are using the default
character formatting rules in TTDRIVER. If you have POSIX installed
you can set the terminal to use POSIX character formatting rules.
