DECserver 90L+ is factory loaded from flash RAM normally, and does not
require reloading via MOP or BOOTP, but can be directed to do so using
the controls on the front of the box during power-up
When doing a firmware upgrade you are required to load from either MOP
or BOOTP/TFTP. WindowsNT does not currently support that, so you would
need to:
- Keep a VMS box around for that
- Keep a Unix box around for that
- Get someone to loan you one when you need it
- Get a 3rd party to provide BOOTP/TFTP for NT
But as long as you don't need to update the firmware, you can have
DECserver 90L+ in an NT only environment!
