DECwindows: Problem connecting with VXT

The Question is: 

I'm not sure if this should be a VMS question or a Motif
question, but I am having increasing problems with my
VXT 2000's, running Motif 1.2, connecting to my Alpha 2100.
  When the VXT is started initially, it logs into my VAX
6000-620.  At this point I have no problems, but when I
initiate an X-session to the Alpha, there are increasing
problems with windows that vanish for no apparent reason,
programs that are in autostart and sometimes don't come up.
  Any ideas?

    We need more information: error message, accounting job termination
    status, network setup...
