Ask the Wizard Questions

Need YMODEM

The Question is: 

I need to communicate with a site that accepts (amongst others) Ymodem
protocol. We do not have the software on the VAX to enable us to use
Ymodem so have been trying to find it. Looking through AES, I can find
that Zmodem is available from the OpenVMS Freeware CD or from the
InterNet site, but unfortunately, the destination site cannot accept
Zmodem.

So (!), my question is.....where can I get Ymodem from? Internet site?
Freeware CDRom? Third-party supplier?

The Answer is: 

    If you go look in the DECUS software library you will find
    communication software that includes: Kermit, XMODEM, YMODEM, and
    ZMODEM.  Tape VS0174 contains YMODEM and so does tape VS0107.
