Storage: How to partition a drive

The Question is: 

How does one partition a disk drive so that it can be
seen as two logical drives?

The Answer is: 

StorageWorks RAID Software for OpenVMS, Version 2.2

The only reason for doing this is if the volume cluster size is too large and
causing too much space to be wasted.

Otherwise consider using the diskquota utility to limit users or rooted logicals
to give the illusion that a directory is a device.
