Storage: Problem with SWXCR drives

The Question is: 

    I have a MYLEX DAC-960S RAID and dual channel controller attatched to
    my DEC Alpha. The DEC sees the controllers and says they are Online,
    but will not let me mount nor initialize the drives. I currently have
    the RAID configured into two drive PACS of 28 GIG per PAC, I did this
    using the MYLEX interface via a dumb terminal. What is the correct way
    to mount these things???

The Answer is: 

    What error message do you get?  Did you format the logical drives from
    the RCU?
