Hardware: Tape version

The Question is: 

I have a TLZ06 tape drive.  How do I figure out it's
firmware version?  Thanks.

The Answer is: 

If you have and alpha or a newer vax, you can see the firmware from
the console with show device.  If it is on storage works controller,
show tape.  Otherwise, your out of luck.   The older vaxes and the error
formatter will not give you this infomation
