WindowsNT: Mail problem

The Question is: 


    My customer wants to send mail from his OpenVMS Vax to  his NT driven
    Alpha.  He has called the CSC and they have checked his set up and said
    it looks like everything is in place.  He believes it's an addressing
    problem.  These systems are on a LAN and share a bridge.  The Vax can
    send mmail from other vaxes.  Another issue was that the Vax could send
    mail via the internet - but could not receive.

    What's wrong?

The Answer is: 

    There is a tremendous amount of information missing.  VMS cannot send
    mail to NT just as is.  There is some software required.  What is he
    using?  What error does he get?
